The Department of Health and Human Services today announced that it will host a Quality Summit bringing together key health care stakeholders and government leaders to discuss how current quality programs administered by the department can be further evaluated, adapted and streamlined to deliver better outcomes for patients. HHS Deputy Secretary Eric Hargan and Peter Provonost, M.D., chief clinical transformation officer of University Hospitals in Cleveland, will chair the summit, which will include government stakeholders and 15 non-government health care leaders.
